*FREE* Simplifying Credentialing for Dentists and Dental Plans (2018)Contains 1 Component(s) Recorded On: 01/23/2018
FREE - Sponsored by CAQH
The American Dental Association (ADA) and the non-profit CAQH are working together to make it easier for dentists to enter and share their professional and practice data with multiple dental plans. They formed an alliance to create the ADA® credentialing service, powered by CAQH ProView®. Dental plans can eliminate the resource-intensive process of accepting this data manually and entering it into their own systems. Dentists complete one, online profile that can be shared with participating plans for credentialing, provider directories and other business uses. In fact, more than 1.4 million healthcare providers already use CAQH ProView to share their professional and practice information.
Select data elements from a dentist's ADA profile pre-populates their CAQH ProView application, making it easier to complete. ADA is widely promoting this service to all U.S. practicing dentists, including its membership of 161,000 dentists. This webinar will review why ADA chose to team with CAQH, information on CAQH ProView and its benefits for dental plans, and a walk-through demo of the solution.

Dental benefits can boost the overall health of America’s workforce whether by integrating dental benefits into medical policies or coordinating the goals of dental benefit design with the goals of employers in offering medical benefits. Some employers are considering the elimination of ancillary benefits, such as dental, vision, disability and life insurance to help manage costs. But, by thinking strategically about how to integrate and coordinate ancillary coverage options – and specifically dental coverage – with medical benefits, dental benefits companies can help build a healthier workforce, generate medical cost savings and ultimately expand dental benefits. Heather Kane, CEO of Dental at UnitedHealthcare, and David DePorter, DDS, Dental Director of Pacific Resources, discuss the links of dental health to overall health and how changes in dental benefit design can boost the overall health of America’s workforce. Learn more about the inner workings of UnitedHealthcare’s Bridge2Health integration platform, and how it’s benefitting businesses by better aligning employees’ whole health needs and enabling proactive medical interventions.
